FanaDecals™ EP Window Decals Installation Guide
IMPORTANT NOTE: Window decals and tints must conform to all state laws regarding light transmission levels.
FanaDecals™ EP window decals may impair visibility during poor lighting conditions and due to precipitation from rain, snow, car washing, etc. which accumulates in the perforation holes.
Always exercise care in order to avoid accidents. FanaDecals™
window films are intended for use on rear and side windows only. Never apply any tinted film or decal to the front windshield or driver side window of any vehicle. CAUTION: State regulations vary significantly. Check with your state and local police regarding allowable light transmission levels. We make significant efforts to understand state laws and provide accurate information to our customers. However,
FanaDecals™, it’s parent company, and all retailers assume no responsibility for the misuse, illegal or improper application of our products. For more information about your state guidelines, visit the
International Window Film Association online or consult your state’s Highway Patrol or Director of Public Safety.

- DO NOT CREASE. Handle the decal carefully. Many creases are not removable.
- Application will be easiest if two people work together.

compromise effectiveness of the adhesive surface.
AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS Your FanaDecals™

care you can prolong your decal’s life expectancy.
- Never use a high-pressure power washer closer than 12
inches to your FanaDecals™.
- Always avoid cleaning with solvents, vinegar, abrasive
or ammonia based cleaners.
- Be careful when using a window scraper.
- Using rear-windshield wipers can damage your
FanaDecals™ over time.
- Protect your decal from extensive direct sunlight and
severe heat to extend life expectancy.
PREPARATION STEPS Read through these instructions completely before attempting to apply your decal. Have your tools ready. Carefully unroll your FanaDecals™ EP Decal and place it up against the window where installing. Visually inspect where you will be trimming the window decal. If you have a sliding rear window, get a general idea where you will need to cut the film.
STEP 1) PREPARE WINDOW SURFACE Thoroughly handwash the window surface. Use a scraper or razor blade knife to remove any dirt or residue clinging to the window. Thoroughly wash the window surface with soap and water or window cleaner. Dry the window with a lint free cloth or paper towel. A very clean and dry surface will make for the best results.
STEP 2) POSITION YOUR DECAL Pre-position your decal by hand. Be sure to center and level the image on your window. (Note: If you have a sliding rear window, make note of where you will be cutting the decal and position accordingly.) Use small pieces of masking tape to temporarily hold the decal on your vehicle.
STEP 3) APPLY THE DECAL Begin at one corner and slowly peel the backing away from the adhesive surface of the decal in a straight line. Using your hand and the squeegee provided, push the decal onto the window surface being careful to smooth out any wrinkles as you go. Continue to peel the backing as you slowly work across the surface of the glass. If you get any bubbles or small creases, carefully peel the decal back off the window enough to remove the problem area and re-apply using the squeegee to smooth the surface. (Note: You will get the best results if you smooth out all creases and bubbles as you go. Once the decal is applied, it becomes much more difficult to correct any problem areas.)
STEP 4) TRIM AND BOND THE DECAL Use a sharp razor blade, exacto or utility knife to trim your decal along the outside border of the window. (Note: Always use a sharp blade pressed firmly but carefully against your decal for best results. A dull blade tends to pull and stretch the vinyl surface of your decal instead of slicing through cleanly.) Peel away the excess decal and any masking tape. Use the squeegee to push the outside edge of the decal to the window surface. Make sure the entire decal is now bonded firmly against the window. Use the squeegee to fix any imperfections. The adhesive of your
FanaDecals™ EP Decal takes 24-72 hours to cure completely. Use extra care during this period to ensure that your decal bonds properly to the window surface.
